It is no secret that  what has become  "healthy" socially, emotionally, behaviorally, nutritionally and physically can be very overwhelming all of us. There are so many messages being presented as "healthy"  in our homes, in our neighborhoods, at school, in the media and otherwise...  Body & Mind Fitness is serious about its initiative to reach out to today’s youth, giving them tools to navigate all these facets of life and accel in living happy, "healthy" lifestyles Body & Mind.  We invite you to join us and enroll your Youth Grades 6-10 in our BodyMind Fit Youth program.

BODYMIND FIT YOUTH CURRICULUM

Poor nutrition and inactivity are putting today's youth at risk of developing life-threatening diseases as they age.  According to the American Heart Association, about 1 in 3 children (ages 2-19) are overweight (at or above the 85th percentile of Body Mass Index) and about 1 in 6 are obese (at or above the 95th percentile of Body Mass Index).

The media, both social and otherwise presents our youth with distorted ideas of "beauty", "popularity", "acceptance"...  As a culture we are  becoming desensitized to what is "healthy" and Body & Mind Fitness is serious about addressing these topics in a fun and safe environment.

Our Youth should be learning about the extreme dangers of  poor nutrition, inactivity, socially inappropriate behavior (teasing, bullying,...) , social media....   Our Youth should be empowered to take responsibility for their personal health and fitness Body & Mind. What better way to do this than to integrate it into a program  that naturally  and synergistically creates a "healthy lifestyle."
